CIA field operative, Kristina Bartley, is abruptly recalled from a mission in the Middle East to work with one of the Company's top analyst's, Shelby Carson, on a case involving a disturbing pattern in a series of assassinations. Guarding secrets of her own, the operative is less than thrilled with the desk jockey assignment, but finds Shelby a fascinating partner. When it becomes apparent Shelby's life may be in danger, the operative finds her priorities shifting from completing the case and returning to the field, to protecting the analyst at all costs.
